The Organizing Committee Pokljuka and Sports centre triglav Pokljuka inform that the cross-country skiing trails, the stadium and shooting range at Rudne Polje and the cross-country skiing trail towards Konjščica mountain will not be available for use from 1 to 9 January 2023 inclusive, as the venue will be completely closed due to the preparation and execution of the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 2023 Pokljuka.
For recreation and training purposes, the track towards Javornik mountain will be available, but from 5 January 2023 access will be possible only from the direction of the Pokljuka Hotel (former Sport Hotel).
Due to the preparations for the World Cup, a modified traffic and parking regime will also be in force at Rudno Polje from 24 December 2022 to 9 January 2023 (see maps for more details). The road from the turn-off for the military barracks to Sports Centre Triglav Pokljuka will be closed from 24 December 2022 to 9 January 2023. The road from the turn-off for the Pokljuka Hotel (former Sport Hotel) to Rudno Polje will be closed from 2 January 2023, and the road from the turn-off for Mrzli studenec will be closed from 5 January 2023. During these dates, traffic will only be possible with vehicles with the appropriate accreditation from the organiser and for supply vans, in accordance with the conditions to be set by the organiser and for the owners and guests of the accommodation facilities at Goreljek.
