On Friday, in Bled, Pokljuka Organizing Committee hosted a dinner to thank people who help with the preparation and organization of biathlon competition at the highest level in Rudno Polje. Slovenian Army Chamber Orchestra was the musical guest, and Jerca Zajc Šušteršič was the host of the event.
Secretary General of Slovenian Olympic Committee Blaž Perko was also among invitees. Olympic medallist Petra Majdič, an ambassador and representative of the European Fair Play Association, invited guests to promote fair play. On that occasion, the best Slovenian cross-country skier emphasised the act of young Slovenian Biathlete Alex Cisar which was recognized and awarded multiple times.
At the dinner, president of the International Biathlon Union Olle Dahlin and sports director Felix Bitterling congratulated the race director World Cup Borut Nunar who just turned 50 that day.
Speakers at the dinner already directed their thoughts at the upcoming World Championsips that will be hosted by Pokljuka in 2021.
