Pokljuka invites families, young explorers, schools, groups and nature lovers to discover a brand-new outdoor experience: the Pokljuka Treasure.
Starting at Hotel Center Pokljuka on Rudno Polje, the easy circular thematic trail leads visitors through the peaceful spruce forest and introduces them to the magical world of Pokljuka’s dwarfs, forest animals and nature guardians.
At the starting point, visitors receive a free Dwarventurer’s notebook – a special adventure booklet that guides them along the trail, helps them solve tasks, collect symbols and follow the mission all the way to the final treasure. Along the way, children and families learn about nature, hiking and biathlon – the sport that made Pokljuka famous around the world.
At the finish, successful treasure hunters receive a special guardiarn reward. After the adventure, visitors can also enjoy a well-deserved break at the Hotel Center Pokljuka restaurant, where a special Dwarf Menu awaits the youngest explorers.
At Hotel Center, visitors can also get the picture book The Treasure of the Pokljuka Dwarves, which brings the magical story of Pokljuka’s dwarfs even closer to children and families as well mascot “Jurček the dwarf”.

The Pokljuka Treasure themed trail was created as part of the LAS Zgornja Gorenjska – BOJA project, “New Themed Trails for a Sustainable Experience of Nature and Cultural Heritage in the Julian Alps”, co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Slovenia under the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy 2023–2027.
