On Saturday, 24 May 2025, Pokljuka will once again come alive in the spirit of connection, sport, and nature – as the venue for the traditional clean-up action and the celebration of International Biathlon Day, which is marked simultaneously around the world.
V sodelovanju z Zavarovalnico Triglav in projektom Očistimo naše gore bomo dan začeli s prostovoljno delovno in čistilno akcijo (VABILO ZA ČLANE ŠD POKLJUKA IN KLUBE ZBORA ZA BIATLON), ki bo potekala med 8. in 12.30 uro na območju Športnega centra Triglav Pokljuka. Skupaj bomo očistili in uredili okolico ter tako prispevali k ohranjanju naše skupne narave. Tisti, ki boste pomagali pri urejanju zunanjih površin, prosimo, da s seboj prinesete tudi osnovno orodje. Zbor udeležencev bo ob 7.45 na terasi Hotela Center.
In cooperation with Zavarovalnica Triglav and the “Let’s Clean the Mountains” project, the day will begin with a voluntary work and clean-up action, taking place from 8:00 to 12:30 in the area of the Triglav Pokljuka Sports Centre. This annual event is traditionally organized by Organizing Committee Pokljuka together with its members and with the support of the member clubs of the Biathlon Assembly at the Ski Association of Slovenia.
Everyone who holds Pokljuka close to their heart is warmly invited to join – club members, athletes, recreational users, nature lovers, as well as all of you who have enjoyed the groomed winter trails, experienced the peaceful beauty of the plateau, attended competitions, sledded on the hill, stayed at Hotel Center, or participated in events and races held on Pokljuka.
Together, we will clean and maintain the area, giving back to nature, which generously provides us with unforgettable moments throughout the winter. Those helping with the outdoor work are kindly asked to bring basic tools. The meeting point is at 7:45 on the terrace of Hotel Center.
From 9:00 to 12:30, Pokljuka will also celebrate International Biathlon Day, which this year will offer a particularly rich program for all generations. Under the umbrella of the Slovenian Ski Association – Biathlon Assembly and in collaboration with the Biathlon4All project, a dynamic sports program will take place. Children, youth, and all curious visitors will have the chance to try safe laser rifle shooting and experience real biathlon on a short skill course, guided by experienced coaches. Slovenian biathletes will be present to meet fans and join the fun, while a special highlight will be the “Shoot-out” precision challenge, where young athletes will showcase just how intense and unpredictable biathlon can be.
The day will also feature a variety of exciting side activities:
🔹 Meet a biathlon star – Join Lena Repinc, one of Slovenia’s most promising young biathletes, for a relaxed morning and ask her anything about the sport.
🔹 Fun prize games for everyone – Are you fast and accurate? Try the shooting challenge – solo, with your family or friends! Great prizes await the winners.
🔹 Animations and magical Jurček – Meet Jurček, Pokljuka’s beloved forest mascot, who will entertain children with nature stories, games, and imagination.
🔹 Find your new biathlon gear – Equipment suppliers will present the latest in biathlon gear and offer great deals for both kids and adults.
🔹 Family lunch with a view – A special offer of delicious family lunches will be available at Hotel Center Pokljuka – the perfect way to round off an active morning.
At 11:30, the exciting “Shoot-out” event will take place, showcasing the thrill and skill of young biathletes.
The day will conclude with the official awards ceremony for the best Slovenian biathletes in the Zavarovalnica Triglav Cup and Argeta Junior Cup for their achievements in the 2024/25 season.
