The Slovenian biathlon is thoroughly preparing for the new season in terms of competition and organization. The weekend will be even more important for both areas. Slovenian organizers of the IBU World Championships Biathlon 2021, scheduled for 10-22 February, Organizing Committee Pokljuka will formally sign an Event hosting declaration (EHD) with representatives of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) on Saturday.
At an extremely important weekend, the activities for the IBU World Championships Biathlon 2021, which is expected to attract as many as 135,000 spectators, will be even more.
As part of the Triglav National Park Info Point – Infocenter Triglavska roža, the Championships will receive its official information point, which gives additional weight to the synergy for all important cooperation between the Triglav National Park, the municipalities of Bled and Bohinj, Bled Tourism and Bohinj Tourism Committee and the Pokljuka Organizing Committee.
Even before the World Championships 2021, Pokljuka will host BMW IBU World Cup between January 22 and 26 next year, which will be the test event. The organizers invite to both competitions with new slogan sLOVEnia FOR BIATHLON.
The IBU World Championships Biathlon 2021 will also present an official bar on Saturday. Biathlon Fans will be able to socialize at the official bar and restaurant Špica near Lake Bled from September 14 onwards. The official bar will have a special offer for biathlon fans.
Slovenian biathletes will compete in at the National Biathlon Championships on Saturday and Sunday in Pokljuka. Both days, the competition starts at 10am.
