ANTERSELVA – Biathlon events in Pokljuka, with an emphasis on the IBU WCH 2021, were presented today at the traditional Nordicum Forum, an annual meeting of journalists reporting on Nordic skiing and biathlon.
Tim Farčnik and Tomaž Šušteršič once again highlighted the advantages and beauties of Slovenia, where you can see both the most beautiful Slovenian mountains and the sea during the day.
The IBU World Championships Biathlon 2021, the first in 20 years at Rudno Polje, will offer many new features. One of the most important for the visitors will be the changed transport, with 10 to 15 thousand people watching the matches every day. The biathlon courses will also take on a new shape, with the goal being that the spectators at the stadium will be able to see the biathletes live on most parts of the stage. Part of the courses will be tested in January next year, when BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon 2020 competitions will be held.
A lot of work awaits the Pokljuka Organizing Committee in the field of promotion, where the main activities of the promotion will be the presentation of the mascot of the Championships, activities during this year’s WCH in Anterselva and the so-called #BiathlonMobile that will invite guests to Pokljuka in various World Cups during the season 2019/20.
