At the first venue of the BMW IBU World Cup Biathlon in Pokljuka the team of workers is taking care of the last few details. We expect winter temperatures within next few days and that will be beneficial for the ski track preparation. The shooting range is also ready. However snow cannons will still make artificial snow.
Chief of competition Matej Kordež said today: “Only a small area at the stadium needs a bit more snow. In the other areas of the venue we only need to finish the last few details. Cold will help us a bit more with the preparation of the tracks and we also expect a few snowflakes. The venue will be ready by Thursday, the day the biathletes arrive to Pokljuka.”
