We love cold and snow. And we really love the days when it all combines in a beautiful winter fairytale. Just in time fo the BMW IBU World Cup in Biathlon. Pokljuka is ready to welcome world class athletes.
Chief of competition Matej Kordež said that the venue and the team of workers is ready for a ten-day challenge: “The tracks, the stadium and the shooting range are all ready. A few athletes have already trained today and tomorrow they will also be able to check the shooting range. We would be able to prepare the venue even without the low winter temperatures, however this conditions made Pokljuka even nicer.”
The tracks have been prepared with the artificial and natural snow from last year, with fresh artificial snow and with a small amount of natural snow. We expect 291 biathletes from 32 countries.
We invite the fans to come to Pokljuka. We would also like to remind that the ski tracks will be open from 10th of December.
