The world’s best female biathletes, who fought for World Cup points at the women’s sprint event in Pokljuka today, were cheered by more than 2,500 pupils from all over Slovenia. Slovenia’s biggest Insurance company Triglav, in cooperation with the Organising Committee Pokljuka 2023, gave them an unforgettable experience in the company of sports stars for the ninth time as a part of the Children of Triglav campaign in Pokljuka.
“Children are the best fans,” says Slovenia’s best biathlete Jakov Fak.
Children from 54 elementary schools cheered for the biathletes and half of schools were eco-schools. This year’s Children of Triglav campaign in Pokljuka was sustainable, aimed at encouraging reflection on the importance of caring for our planet. With this is mind, the young fans prepared banners for the competition and the most original one received a special award.
