Pokljuka - 19.12.2009 Three Slovenians on the start of the last race
In tomorrow's men pursuit race, which will start at 14.15, we will have three Slovenian representatives. Klemen Bauer will start as 13th, a little more than a minute after today’s winner.
"I will have a good chance to at least repeat today’s result. Of course I would like to improve it, so I will go on the track very relaxed,” said happy and optimistic Bauer. His colleague Vasja Rupnik had a lot of reasons for the good mood after winning his first World Cup points in his career: "Today I had no luck with the choice of skis, but I did well on the shooting range. I hope I will have better skis tomorrow, but I also hope for less wind.” Rupnik will start as 37th, almost two minutes after the Russians Čerezov.
If we can stress that Rupnik and Bauer were pleased with their performance today, this can certainly not be said for Janez Marič. He only covered five targets on the shooting range and barely caught tomorrow’s pursuit race with 58th place.

The first to start tomorrow’s race will be today’s winner Russian Ivan Čerezov: “I am aware that the winner will be decided on the shooting range tomorrow. I showed good shooting form in difficult conditions today. I finished the race with a zero and I hope I can repeat this performance tomorrow."
Austrian Dominik Landertinger will start a little more than 10 second behind the Russian. »I am really looking forward to tomorrow's race. I know I will have to give my best again. I hope I won't miss more than twice and that the weather will improve at least a bit,« said young Landertinger despite some fatigue. After all formalities he enjoyed his success with his teammates.

Swiss Thomas Frei, who gained his career best with today’s third place, was more than happy with his performance. He sincerely said that he had luck at his side and added: “I will need a lot of luck for another top three finish. Not only with the skis preparation but also at the shooting range. I am very modest and I would be very pleased with the rank among the best 15."
The pursuit races will end the great biathlon schedule in Pokljuka.
