Biathlon has plenty of strong competitors within female division. The most convincing and constant this season is Czech Gabriela Soukalova. She clinched victory in women's sprint in Ostersund and came fifth in the pursuit. The Czech nailed it also in Hochfilzen, where she came third in the pursuit. The Austrian team withdrew two of its members from today's sprint due to illness. Simon Eder, who was supposed to start with dress number 16, suffers from sore throat while Dominik Landertinger has digestion problems. Norvegian Alexander Osa (nr. 74) also doesn’t feel well and was forced to cancel his appearance.
